high ceilings, and a warm and cheerful welcome, jazz playing
in the background and sophisticated décor : welcome
to the restaurant of Catherine and Stéphane Fumaz!
Catherine, from Brittany, ensures that table
cloths, napkins, glass cabinets and pictures on the walls are
all in tune both with the spirit of the times and her collector’s eye.
Stéphane,
from Savoy, is in the kitchens. This former pupil of Marc Veyrat,
who has also spent time in the kitchens of Le Dôme, Ledoyen, Lasserre
and Le Pré Catelan, devises on a daily basis
and with great care and attention generous, family cuisine based
on fresh produce. On the menu: meats and fish, not forgetting
of course the desserts for which he is renowned. For example, his chocolate
macaroon with fruits from the market.
At lunchtime, the board changes daily, with a choice of 2 starters, 2 main courses
and 2 desserts. In the evening, the choice becomes wider: to the great delight
of food lovers and gourmet diners alike.
When the weather is fine, Le Jardinier opens
onto a delightful terrace, edged with flower-filled
jardinières: a touch of the countryside in the heart of the capital. Finally,
at Saturday lunchtime, one room for up to fifty guests can be
set aside for private use: a friendly and festive atmosphere
is guaranteed. Just what is needed to take a break
from daily routine ! Le Jardinier is closed on Sundays.
